Serge, the second Bering 65 that has been launched is an exquisite full displacement steel trawler that carries 4,500 gallons of fuel and has a non-stop range of over 5,000 miles. She is beautifully finished with a light ash interior and painted with a stunning white exterior finish and teak decks.
Boasting 106 tons (233,000 pounds) displacement, Serge is unrivaled in her class, achieving new industry records in comfort, quietness and long-range capabilities.
Serge is equipped with two Cummins QSL9 diesel engines, allowing her to reach a maximum speed of 11 knots. She cruises quite comfortably at 1,200 rpm at a speed of 8 knots, burning a total of 8 gallons an hour. She also features Seatorque shafts; 42- x 42-inch, five-blade propellers; Seakeeper M35 Gyro stabilization; and an extensive Furuno electronics package with dual radars, night vision, TV and internet domes. Additional equipment includes hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, dual hydraulic windlasses with pocket anchors, water purifier, and water maker.
